- NSS Units got first prize in PUNARJANI programme of NSS Technical Cell
- S8 Electrical students got the third prize in National Energy Audit Competition conducted by Energy Conservation Society.
- Mr. Sabarinath K, CEO of IEDC got selected as one of the 48 students selected from across the Globe for the “MIT-IIT Make in India Live-in Bootcamp”. He was the only student selected from the State of Kerala.
- After the success of our first startup OFB, the second startup from the campus – LaiFi, an innovative electronics product company was founded by Mr. Arjunlal J Padithara and Blessu Thomas (S8 ECE).
- The student project named “Visual Assistance Smart Hat” (VASH) was presented and exhibited in the Huddle Kerala Startup Conclave inaugurated by honorable Chief Minister of Kerala.
- VASH got the 1st prize and a cash award of Rs10000/- in the project expo and competition held at MES Institute of Management and Technology, Chathannoor, Kollam.
- VASH is shortlisted to pitch their product on 28th May 2018 for a startup incubation at the KSUM Kasargode Incubation Centre.

- Dr. Abey E. Thomas, Asst Prof. in Dept. CE won the Suchit Kumar Ghosh Memorial Prize from IEI (Institution of Engineers India) for the journal published in the series ‘A’ of IEI.
