The Central library of College of Engineering Aranmula commands a prominent place among the Students and Faculty with its ample collection of Documents ranging from Textbooks ,CD Roms to E Resources.Digital section facilitates access to cyber resources such as all the mandatory e-journals packages of aicte and various other online resources.Besides library has a wide variety of periodicals to cater the informational requirements of users. The systematically arranged collection aims to cater the multidimensional informational requirements of users.



The textbook collection includes Applied science ,Computer science,Electrical engineering Electronic engineering ,Civil engineering and Environmental science .


Reference section includes costly books ,rare books and first copy of each title from the General collection.Apart from these it holds study materials for various competitive exams such as GATE and IES.


Library has been sanctioned fund for BOOK BANK Scheme for SC/ ST students.With the stipulated fund a well balanced collection is arranged. Students can avail 3 books at a time for a semester.


At present Library subscribes nearly 50 Technical Periodicals. These primary sources of information acquires a predominant place in the Information seeking area. The collection includes both National and International journals .


Libraries Digital wing offers students to access various academic resources from its multimedia systems. Library subscribes all the 6 E -jounrnal packages mandated by AICTE such as IEEE,Science Direct,ASCE,J-Gate,Springer and ASTM.


Only 3 Categories of Users can avail membership from Library.

  • Students
  • Teaching staff ( Permanent / Contract )
  • Non Teaching Staff ( Permanent / Contract )

All these users can avail membership without any admission fee. Students must collect a Non Liability Certificate from the Librarian before each semester registration. Staff members both permanent and contract are required to collect this certificate before leaving the Institution.


  • Library shall be kept open on all Govt working days from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
  • Personal belonging such as bag,textbooks,files etc are not allowed inside the Library.
  • All members must maintain absolute silence inside the Library .
  • Users of the Library should take utmost care in handling books and other documents.They shall not write,underline and scribble on any document.
  • Any person who is responsible for damage or loss of any library document will be required to replace the same with in the period set by the Librarian or pay double the current cost of the document.
  • Readers Ticket is valid only in the presence of the Owner of that ticket.
  • Books are issued for 14 days from the date of issue.An overdue charge of Rs.1/day / book shall be levied if the book is not returned on time.
  • An Overdue period of more than one month may cause the cancellation of that Readers ticket for a period of 6 months.( only for semesters upto 7 ).
  • Loan period of the book can be renewed if no other person has reserved the same.
  • Newspapers , Periodicals,Reference books are Not Issuable materials.
  • Please ensure the sound condition of the document you borrowed from the Library before leaving the Issue counter.
