Achievements of the Year

  1. College Got Second Position in All India Daan Utsav Competition (SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE) for the remarkable asset creation in Government Hospital Adoor.
  2. NSS Units got first prize in PUNARJANI programme of NSS Technical Cell
  3. S8 Electrical students got the third prize in National Energy Audit Competition conducted by Energy Conservation Society.
  4. Mr. Sabarinath K, CEO of IEDC got selected as one of the 48 students selected from across the Globe for the forthcoming “MIT-IIT Make in India Live-in Bootcamp” to be held in IIT Delhi and IIT Mandi, Himachal Pradesh from 19 June to 15 July 2017. The 28-day camp was all about innovation, design thinking, fabrication, and entrepreneurship. He shared a learning platform along with students from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Asia School of Business, IITs and many other Indian and Foreign Universities. He was the only student selected from the State of Kerala. The workshop fee of $300 as well as the food and accommodation were completely sponsored by IIT Delhi, while the travel expenses to New Delhi and back was sponsored by IEDC – AEC.
  5. After the success of our first startup OFB, the second startup from the campus – LaiFi, an innovative electronics product company was founded by Mr. Arjunlal J Padithara and Blessu Thomas (S8 ECE). The company is provided with no cost incubation facility with lab support and office space in the IEDC Startup Incubator ‘IdeaMirror’ as per the norms of KSUM.
  6. The Startup LaiFi presented their product ideas in the initial phase of KSUM’s IDEA Fest ’18 for a funding opportunity. The idea is selected for funding, for which they are invited to present the same before an expert panel on 26th May 2018. The amount funding will be decided by the panel based on the review of idea on 26th May 2018.
  7. The student project named “Visual Assistance Smart Hat” (VASH) was presented and exhibited in the Huddle Kerala Startup Conclave inaugurated by honorable Chief Minister of Kerala. This project got acclaimed by many experts and public who visited the exhibition and was featured in the Asianet News channel also.
  8. VASH got the 1st prize and a cash award of Rs10000/- in the project expo and competition held at MES Institute of Management and Technology, Chathannoor, Kollam.
  9. VASH is shortlisted to pitch their product on 28th May 2018 for a startup incubation at the KSUM Kasargode Incubation Centre.
