Women’s Cell of College of Engineering Aranmula was constituted in March 2016. The cell aims at the empowerment of women in professional field. To achieve this goal various seminars, legal awareness programs, counselling sessions, soft skill development classes were conducted. This year, the cell organized a seminar on “Women’s Safety and Legal Aspect” by Smt. Smitha Chand (Legal Councilor, Mahilamandiram, Pathanamthitta) on 29th January 2018 for providing our students an insight into legal aspects. Also a talk by Dr. J Prameela Devi (Former Vanitha Commission Member) was organized for the students in connection with Women’s Day Celebrations on March 8th, 2018. The unit looks forward to strengthen and support the members to achieve social, financial and gender parity. Outside campus programs and surveys are future activities planned by the cell. Women cell is associated with Internal Complaints Committee for matters related to discrimination and harassment at workplace.
